WE ARE BACK!
After a few months with almost no updates about our project, we are now finally ready to relate our latest news and to share information about our last achievements.
The first news regards our team: we have hired in the last months 7 new experts who have enthusiastically joined our company.
Besides the available preorder of our electric aircraft UG-3, an important development in our company concerns the shift from the idea to design and manufacture another race plane, UR-2, to the project to design our first genuinely practical battery-electric aircraft for civil aviation, UG-2. All the research, all the tests carried out, the analyses and all the hours spent in working on UR-1 and UG-3 have made us able to guarantee the feasibility of our first aircraft manufactured to be on the market with similar performance to traditional planes.
So, now we are glad to communicate that we have finalized the concept design of UG-2 and that the CMEFE (Centre de prestations industrielles et de recherche en mécanique des fluides et énergie - Génie mécanique) of HEPIA (Haute École Du Paysage, D'ingénierie Et D'architecture De Genève) is conducting lots of tests on it.
And what about the first Swiss fully electric race plane UR-1? We have achieved important goals in recent months.
First and foremost, in the beginning of the year, we have finalized the design of the fuselage and of the cockpit seat. In the meanwhile, the design of the control system is awaiting validation.
Secondly, we have reached significant accomplishments in our workshop:
- The manufacturing of the tail is completed;
- The control surface is now integrated in the tail;
- The canopy is assembled.
In addition, we have carried out the first full power test of the motor unit and we had excellent outcomes. Lastly, another important news comes from the EAS (Experimental Association of Switzerland) association: the wings of the first Swiss all-electric race aircraft, UR-1, have been inspected and we had excellent feedback.
So, if you are wondering why we have been so carent in communicating news about us in recent months, we suggest you to have a look at our social media channels.
